About me

Suzi Lima 2019I am an Assistant Professor in the Linguistics Department at the University of Toronto.

My work integrates theoretical and experimental research. I work at the intersection of language documentation, formal semantics, and psycholinguistics/language acquisition. Most of my research is about cross-linguistic variation in the domain of counting and measuring. I have worked primarily on the description and analysis of Brazilian Indigenous languages. I have recently started a project on three Bantu languages spoken in Toronto (Lingala, Kirundi, Tshiluba).
