A typology of the mass/count distinction in Brazil and its relevance for mass/count theories

The main goal of this project is to a) deepen the understanding of language diversity (with respect to the count/mass distinction) in Brazilian languages; b) make available a questionnaire that can be used by other scholars, in different geographical areas; c) Based on the results of the questionnaire, discuss how the facts from Brazilian languages can contribute to formal theories on this topic.
